Terms of Service / Privacy Policy

LIQUID DESIGN Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator") establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as this "Policy") regarding the handling of privacy information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

Article 1 (Personal Information)

• "Personal information" among privacy information refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, meaning information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by the name, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in such information.
• "History information and attribute information" among privacy information refers to information other than the "personal information" defined above, and includes services used, products purchased, history of pages and advertisements viewed, search keywords searched by the User, dates and times of use, methods of use, usage environment, gender, occupation, age, and the like.

Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Personal Information)

• The Operator may ask for personal information such as an email address when a User makes an inquiry or registers to use a service. The Operator may also collect transaction records containing a User's personal information made between the User and business partners, as well as payment-related information, from the Operator's business partners (including payment function partners, information providers, advertisers, ad delivery destinations, etc.; hereinafter referred to as "Partners").
• The Operator collects history information and attribute information about Users, such as services and software used, products purchased, history of pages and advertisements viewed, search keywords searched, dates and times of use, methods of use, usage environment (including the communication status of a mobile device when used via such a device and various setting information at the time of use), IP address, cookie information, location information, and device identification information, when Users use the services of the Operator or its Partners or view pages.
• Among payment-related personal information, credit card information is collected and managed by Partners. The Operator does not manage credit card information.
• The Service collects statistical usage information such as cookies and web beacons for the purposes of improving the convenience of the Service, access analysis, and measuring advertising effectiveness.
• The Service uses tools such as Google Analytics to understand usage conditions. Usage information is transmitted to the tool provider and managed in accordance with the tool provider's privacy policy.
• You can stop the collection of your information from the tool provider's opt-out page.

Article 3 (Acquisition and Purposes of Use of Personal Information)

The Operator's acquisition and purposes of use of personal information are as follows.

• (1) To provide services to Users and to enable them to view and correct registered information and view their usage status, by displaying registered information, services used or products purchased, and information relating to the charges for these
• (2) To use email addresses to send notices and communications to Users, and to use contact information to send products to Users or contact them as necessary
• (3) To use information such as delivery results in order to verify the identity of Users
• (4) To use payment-related information such as the names and quantities of products purchased, the type, period, and number of times services were used, and billing amounts, in order to bill Users
• (5) To display information registered with the Operator on input screens so that Users can enter data easily, and to transfer such information to other services (including those provided by Partners) based on the User's instructions
• (6) To use information for identifying individuals, such as usage patterns, names, and addresses, in order to refuse use by Users who have violated the terms of use of the Service—for example, by delaying payment or causing damage to third parties—or by Users who attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes
• (7) To use information necessary for the Operator to provide services to Users, such as the content of inquiries and information regarding billing, as well as Users' service usage status and contact information, in order to respond to inquiries from Users
• (8) Purposes incidental to the above purposes of use

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

Except in the following cases, the Operator will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the User's prior consent.

• (1) Where required by laws and regulations
• (2) Where necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and where it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
• (3) Where particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children, and where it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
• (4) Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national government body, a local government, or a party entrusted by them in carrying out affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and where obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the performance of such affairs
• (5) Where the following matters have been announced or published in advance
  1. That the purposes of use include provision to third parties
  2. The items of data provided to third parties
  3. The means or method of provision to third parties
  4. That provision of personal information to third parties will be discontinued at the request of the individual
• (6) Where personal information is used jointly with specific parties, the following information will be made readily available to, or notified in advance to, the customers whose personal information is subject to such use.
  1. The fact of joint use
  2. The items of personal data used jointly
  3. The scope of parties using the information jointly
  4. The purposes of use by the parties using the information jointly
  5. The party responsible for managing the personal information used jointly
  6. The method of acquiring the personal information used jointly

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following shall not be deemed third parties.

• (1) Where the Operator entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use
• (2) Where personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to a merger or other reason
• (3) Where personal information is used jointly with specific parties, and the individual has been notified in advance of, or the following have been made readily available to the individual: that fact, the items of personal information used jointly, the scope of parties using the information jointly, the purposes of use by such parties, and the name of the party responsible for managing the personal information

Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When requested by an individual to disclose their personal information, the Operator will disclose it to the individual without delay. However, if disclosure would fall under any of the following, the Operator may not disclose all or part of it. Requests for disclosure must be made through the procedures prescribed by the Operator.

• (1) Where there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
• (2) Where there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper execution of the Operator's business
• (3) Where disclosure would otherwise violate laws and regulations

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as history information and attribute information, will in principle not be disclosed.

Article 6 (Security Management of Personal Information)

In order to prevent leakage of personal information and the like, the Operator implements appropriate security management measures in accordance with laws and regulations, guidelines, and internal rules, and strives to protect the personal information it holds.

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

If you move from the Service to a site other than the Operator's via a link or banner, the Operator bears no responsibility whatsoever for the information, services, and the like provided on the destination site.

Article 8 (Revisions)

The content of this Policy may be changed without notice to Users.
Except as separately determined by the Operator, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
